The River Thames |
There are over 100 species living in or on the River Thames. Most commonly seen wildlife are, otters, swans, ducks, geese, water voles, coots and herons. As this website said on the last line of the history page, you would see that it says you are most likely to see more birds and otters than fish because they may have cleaned out the River Thames, but some of the old bacteria still remains in the river. As a result most fishes swim further up or down the lake in clearer water. There are people who like to feed the birds things like, bread, wheat, and some times unsalted nuts and seeds. However otters eat things like fish, such as suckers, crayfish and catfish.
